Warrior Rishika Colored

After about a year or so I finally finished coloring the stupid thing. I made quite a few mistakes while doing so, causing me to have to go back and redo it, and somehow the resolution shrunk to 100, which is notoriously hard to CG, but oh well. I like this picture.

This is Rishika, my oldest know original character, and therefore, my alias. She's the main character of my Daemon storyline, leading a band of nomadic Daemon in the ruins of what once was a prosperous and heavily populated human world. The humans that have surrvived the mysterious catastrophy that took away all the electric and combustion power that fuled all human inventions and wiped out most of their kind live in isolated settlements, living much in the same way as humans did centuries ago, but with a twist. Not only have animals from zoos and circuses gotten free, creating a world-wide ecosystem, but other things from the far hidden past, things that have removed themselves from the world when humans began to dominate, began to take advantage of the new found space. Demons, spirits, and other supernatural beings have taken over their ancestral home once again, as well as the Daemon, their oldest predecessor.

Rishika and her six friends, Sande, Oshana, Takoa, Zoe, Zan, and Sarai, are wanderers. Most Daemon find and live in set territories by their age, but instead they choose to travel on the open road and quite frequently mingle with humans, two things that are generally frowned upon by Daemon. But of course, none of them could care any less.

This is her in her human form, which is misleading because is isn't a "form," just a very elaborate illusion. Likewise you normally wouldn't see the claws, armor, or weapons, but just as a cat bares its claws in preperation for battle, when a Daemon in the human illusion "bares its claws" the armor and weaponry appear for immediate use. For each Daemon the weapon and armor is different, reflecting the Daemon's personality and breeding. What they all have in common is a chest plate, claws on the feet, and the claws that fit over the hands. Rishika has a little more armor, reflecting a noble warrior bloodline of some sort.

Sometimes a Daemon will gain a nickname that it will use instead of its real name when meeting a stranger. Rishika is sometimes called "Tigerwolf," which is why it's in smaller print by her name in the picture.
